Ocean Springs man pleads guilty to producing child pornography between MS Coast & Kansas

A Durham woman was sentenced to 12 years in prison last week for her part in running a sex trafficking ring from her home.

An Ocean Springs man pleaded guilty this week to producing child pornography and is facing up to 30 years in prison.

Eric Jason Fiorentino, 30, pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography. Authorities said he coerced a minor in Kansas to send him photos that showed the victim “engaging in sexually explicit conduct” in January 2023.

Fiorentino was arrested at his Ocean Springs home in February 2023, court records show.

Fiorentino used an internet chat platform to produce and save images of the minor on his cell phone, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Mississippi said in a news release.

He will be sentenced in March and faces between 15 and 30 years in prison.

Homeland Security Investigations, the Jackson County and Stone County Sheriff’s Offices, and the Hesston, Kansas Police Department investigated the case.
