Office drama escalates quickly after brazen sandwich theft

An office worker had no choice but to get the human resources department involved when his missing lunch of a turkey and Swiss on rye was stolen and held for ransom by a fellow employee.

Photos from the entire ordeal were posted to Imgur, but we’ve pulled together the highlights.

At first the hungry victim tried to take the high road by leaving a note on the fridge for the elusive lunch bandit.

Only to find the sandwich was not safe or sound.

But negotiation was not an option.

The sandwich burglar would not budge on the issue, even with the threat of contacting HR.

Eventually Tina from HR steps in writing that if the sandwich was returned the matter would be put to bed.

Vut instead of complying, the criminal gets greedy and demands a second free lunch.

After some graphic photos of bites taken out of the sandwich, the victim couldn’t take it anymore, writing to the perpetrator “You’re the worst!!”. As most nefarious criminals tend to do, the thief blamed his actions on society’s shortcomings.

But all the while, in her HR office, Tina was hot on the trail of the sandwich crook, who turned out of be someone named Francis.

This left the thief with one recourse: to beg for forgiveness.

Let’s hope he got his just deserts.
