Offset Tells Cardi B to Release Her Long-Awaited Sophomore Album amid Breakup Rumors: 'S--- Goes Crazy'
The rap superstar previously revealed in late 2023 that she and the former Migos member had separated after six years of marriage
Cardi B fans have been clamoring for her sophomore album for years — including her estranged husband Offset.
The former Migos member, 32, posted to his Instagram Story on Monday to tell the rap superstar, 31, to "drop" her follow-up to her debut studio album Invasion of Privacy, which arrived in 2018.
His post, which he tagged Cardi in, comes shortly after the two were spotted spending Valentine’s Day together while they seemingly remain separated in their marriage.
Although there’s no sound, the hip-hop star appears to be listening to the “Bodak Yellow” artist’s new music in the video posted to his Story, which has since been deleted but was recorded by fans and shared on social media.

“stop being scary and drop the album,” he wrote over the clip of him wearing a black hoodie and nodding along to a beat. “s--- goes crazy 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 @iamcardib.”
It’s been nearly six years since Cardi B released her hit debut LP Invasion of Privacy in April 2018. Although she’s teased a follow-up over the years since then, she’s still yet to release another full-length project.
Since the acclaimed record dropped, the Grammy winner has continued to release music in the form of singles, like the song “Up,” and a handful of collaborations, including tracks with fellow hitmakers like Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo and even Offset.
Most recently, the “I Like It” rapper reunited with Megan Thee Stallion, 29, to release “Bongos” in September of last year, marking their first song together since they broke the internet with their viral hit “WAP.”
The superstar also worked on music with her estranged husband last year, as she appeared on several tracks (“Freaky,” the single “Jealousy”) off his sophomore solo album Set It Off.
In December, Cardi B revealed in a Instagram Live that she and Offset — who share daughter Kulture, 5½, and son Wave, 2, together — had separated after six years of marriage.

At the time, a source told PEOPLE that the two “had really good times together” but had a “tumultuous” relationship. “They've broken up and gotten back together and broken up again way more than the public has seen,” the source said.

Despite the announcement that the two were no longer an item, they have since been spotted spending time together. In late December, fans captured photos of the estranged spouses out in New York City, as well as in Miami on New Year’s Eve.
Shortly after photos surfaced online from their holiday celebrations, the “Bartier Cardi” artist spoke candidly on Instagram Live and admitted that she hooked up with the “Worth It” rapper that night, but clarified, “We're not together until we work out our issues.”
According to fan-recorded videos, the two musicians also spent Valentine’s Day together in Miami. In clips that surfaced on social media, the pair left a restaurant and got into a car together, while Offset appeared to be holding a gift.
The estranged couple has yet to clarify the status of their relationship in recent weeks.
