The Oil Spring Council to demolish the ball booth at the Youth Centre.
Council has had a couple of discussions in the previous year about the need for a new booth. The idea for the tender came from Mayor Ian Veen Jan. 17.
“If we don’t move on it, we are not going to get started,” said Veen. The tender will allow the municipality to get rid of the old structure down to the foundation.
“We can’t use it the way it is,” said Councillor Larry Wagner before voting in favour of the move.
There is a fridge, deep freeze and two microwaves currently in the ball booth.
Veen hinted there might be a donation coming for the construction of a new booth, but he was unwilling to say just where the donation could be coming from, as of yet.
