Olivia Rodrigo Is Red Hot in a Plunging Lace-Up Leather Minidress
It was Dua Lipa and Emily Ratajkowski who first put With Jéan on our radar. Similarly, Nicola Peltz Beckham and Raye introduced us to Peachy Den after wearing the London-based Y2K brand on repeat. And while we were already lusting after Charlotte Simone’s faux fur coats, Damson Madder, Charli XCX, and Anya Taylor-Joy’s respective backing only furthered our love for the labels.
Yep, the secret to identifying the next big designer name is really quite simple—it all comes down to celebrity support. So it should come as no surprise that Sabrina Carpenter, Kendall Jenner, and Dua have all been spotted recently repping Ludovic de Saint Sernin—aka the designer behind all the items currently sitting at the top of our imaginary wishlist. (Imaginary because, unfortunately for us, his collections sit a little outside our budgets.)
That won’t stop us from dreaming, though! And in our heads, we’re wearing the red hot leather lace-up dress from the designer’s SS25 collection, which Olivia Rodrigo legit just donned for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The musician’s appearance on October 29 saw the artist wearing the red patent leather mini. Complete with eyelets and lace-up detailing, two signifiers of Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s creations, the dress was essentially a long strip of fabric wound around her body and held together by a thread that also formed thin shoulder straps. With a plunging sweetheart neckline and additional lace-up detailing across the bust, it gave high glamour rock and roll.
In addition to crafting all of Sabrina Carpenter’s custom costumes for Act III of the Short n’ Sweet Tour, the designer is *also* behind Dua’s recent bandana top and lace-up trousers ‘fit, which echoes the design features in Olivia’s latest look.
Is this the celeb’s boldest ensemble to date? We think so...
