Three Canadian Olympic medallists were in town Wednesday afternoon drumming up some excitement .

Windsor is hosting the FINA/NVC Diving World Series in a couple of months.

"It will make us feel like we have a whole crowd behind us to cheer us and it gives us adrenaline to dive better," she said. "There's nothing like competing at home with a home crowd."

Filion also commended the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre for being well-suited to hosting the championship.

The competition will take place from May 30 to June 1.

It will feature more than 80 of the world's best divers from more than 15 countries.

Windsor is one of the six cities on the tour that will include events in Beijing, Dubai, Moscow, London and Monterrey.
