One dead, two injured after vehicle collides with tree, Fort Worth police say

One person died and two others were injured when a vehicle struck a house in Fort Worth on Sunday, Nov. 17.

One person was killed and two others were injured when a vehicle collided with a tree in Fort Worth early Sunday morning, police said.

Northwest division officers responded to the scene in the 3800 block of Decatur Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 17, according to a police statement.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The Fort Worth Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit will investigate to determine the cause of the crash, officials said.

Initial reports stated that the vehicle collided with a house. Police later clarified that the vehicle hit a tree at the location.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
