A person has been killed after a shooting between two roommates in a Myrtle Beach apartment

Myrtle Beach Police is investigating the shooting that happened in the 2000 block of Greens Boulevard at 8:40 p.m. Monday, according to a Facebook post. Officers responded to a report of gunshots inside an apartment after a disturbance.

One person was killed and a second person was taken to the hospital for treatment, the post said. Several other people were detained.

The name of the person killed was not released.
