When it comes to my skincare routine, there's one ingredient you could not tear me away from: hyaluronic acid.

Its ability to plump skin whilst reducing signs of dryness and dehydration mean it's now a staple in my night time routine and my go-to ingredient for minimising those pesky forehead fine lines.

If you've struggled to find an affordable formula, or if you've never tried a hyaluronic before *gasp* you might just want to pay attention because this one is a good'un.

Not only is it the best-selling serum in the US, but one is literally sold every single minute and now it's finally launching in the UK.

Revitalift Filler Serum by L'Oréal Paris contains 1.5% hyaluronic acid, which is not only more than the standard concentration in most drugstore products, but is also enough for you to notice a reduction in fine, dehydration lines in just six weeks.

Before you add it your basket, a lesson if you will in where to include it within your routine, because yes, there is a correct order to apply your skincare products.

Hyaluronic acid should be applied after cleansing and toning, as the first step in your skincare routine. It's up to you whether you choose to use it morning and night, but personally I find morning is enough.

It's also important to apply it to damp skin (either damp from your facial mist toner, or just plain old water). This is because HA is a humectant, so if you apply to dry skin it can end up dehydrating you further by drawing the moisture from the deeper layers.

Here endeth the lesson.
