One South Carolina receiver ruled out for Saturday’s game against Texas A&M
South Carolina’s top wide receiver Xavier Legette is still questionable for the Gamecocks’ final road game Saturday against the Texas A&M Aggies, Shane Beamer said Thursday.
Legette left during the first half of USC’s 34-12 loss to Missouri last weekend with an “upper-body injury.” Beamer said Legette is in “good spirits,” and his injury is “nothing long term at all.”
Wide receiver Ahmarean Brown (hamstring) is out after being labeled “doubtful” on Tuesday. Brown has already missed two games this season.
Offensive lineman Vershon Lee will also be out after being labeled “questionable” earlier in the week.
The following Gamecocks are still questionable, Beamer said: offensive linemen Tree Babalade, Cason Henry, Jaxon Hughes and Trovon Baugh. Since spring ball began, South Carolina’s had 10 offensive linemen injured.
Earlier in the week Beamer also ruled out Antwane “Juice” Wells (foot) against Texas A&M. He has yet to play a full game this season and hasn’t suited up since USC’s loss to Georgia.
