‘Only Murders In The Building’ Lands At No. 9 On Nielsen Streaming List After Season 3 Debut; ‘Suits’ Tallies Another Week On Top
Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building leapt onto Nielsen’s streaming charts for the week of August 7 to August 13.
With the debut of Season 3, the series racked up 719M viewing minutes, making it to No. 9 on the overall Top 10 and No. 3 among streaming originals. According to Nielsen, the audience for Only Murders was a “carbon copy” of the series that’s been dominating streaming for the past eight weeks — Suits.

That series had another impressive week with 3B viewing minutes once again across Netflix and Peacock. It is not the only title to ever surpass the 3B threshold for seven consecutive weeks. Since it debuted on Netflix eight weeks prior, Suits has accumulated 26.5B minutes viewed across both streaming platforms (though it had been on Peacock for much longer without making those kinds of waves).
There were only two other titles to tally more than 1B viewing minutes — The Lincoln Lawyer (another win for Netflix) and Bluey (one point for Disney+). Both have been staples on the originals list for several weeks at this point, so it’s no surprise they remain yet again.
Netflix also released the limited series Painkiller and the film Heart of Stone during this interval. They drew 990M and 966M viewing minutes, respectively.
The penultimate episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 helped boost the series to No. 5 on the streaming originals list with 457M viewing minutes, which is up 15% from the week prior. Prime Video is hailing the second season as a win for the streamer, as it is currently the streamer’s No. 2 most-viewed series to date among women 18-34, behind only Rings of Power.
