Only Murders Makes Strong Return to Nielsen Streaming Top 10, Suits Sets a New Kind of Record

Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer held onto the top spot on Nielsen’s latest U.S. ranking of streaming originals.

The recently renewed lawyer drama amassed 1.4 billion minutes viewed across 20 total epsiodes during the week of Aug. 7. Netflix’s Painkiller made its chart debut at No. 2, with 990 million minutes viewed/six episodes, followed by Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building (720 million minutes/22 available episodes, with the launch of Season 3), Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias (530 million minutes/30 episodes) and Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty (460 million minutes/14 available episodes).

Rounding out the Top 10 originals for the week of Aug. 7 were three Netflix offerings — Gabby’s Dollhouse (440 million minutes viewed/57 episodes), The Witcher (421 million minutes/24 episodes) and Untold (418 million minutes/12 episodes) — followed by Hulu’s Futurama (363 million minutes/138 episodes) and Paramount+’s Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (300 million minutes/20 episodes).

Of some note, Hijack disappeared from the Top 10 after just one week, having been only the second Apple TV+ series to ever land on the Nielsen chart.
