Ontario hospitals ‘hit harder than ever’ in 3rd COVID-19 wave: Elliott

Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott said on Friday that the province’s hospitals “are being hit harder than ever” as COVID-19 cases surge in the province. “In one week, the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations has increased by almost 30 per cent,” she stated, adding that projections show ICU admissions “are expected to rise to over 1,000 patients by the end of the month.”
