Ontario Provincial Police say they have found and arrested a man they suspect killed someone in Renfrew County west of Ottawa Wednesday night.

In a news release issued Thursday morning, Killaloe OPP said they were looking for 18-year-old Trey Gagnon from Laurentian Valley Township.

The OPP tweeted around 1:30 p.m. he was found and arrested. They had been looking for him on a charge of second-degree murder.

Officers were called to a home in Eganville in the Township of Bonnechere Valley, Ont., just before 9 p.m. Wednesday and found someone dead, according to the news release.

No other information about the victim was released. OPP said after Gagnon's arrest that there were no further risks to public safety.

Four schools were in "hold and secure" mode, according to the Renfrew County District School Board, which then said that mode had been lifted around 11:25 a.m.

Eganville is about 130 kilometres west of downtown Ottawa.
