Ottawa 'looking at' access to contraceptives

Minister for Women and Gender Equality Marci Ien said Wednesday that the government was looking at access to contraceptives, but did not say if it was considering calls for universal access to them. Jill Doctoroff with National Abortion Federation Canada and Frédérique Chabot with Action Canada spoke about the types of contraceptives that should be covered and said that the same people who have difficulty accessing abortion, often also have similar difficulties accessing contraceptives.
