An Ottawa man man faces 11 charges — including multiple counts of sexual assault and sexual interference — after he allegedly touched three boys inappropriately, police say.
In mid-January, police received information that a teenage boy had been touched by the 37-year-old man, the Ottawa Police Service said in a media release Thursday.
An investigation by the force's sexual assault and child abuse unit found that two other younger boys had also been victimized by the man, police said.
The man was charged last week with:
- three counts of sexual assault.
- three counts of sexual interference.
- four counts of uttering threats.
- one count of mischief to property.
His next court date is scheduled for March 21, police said.
Investigators are concerned there could be other victims. Anyone with information can call the sexual assault and child abuse unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5944, or Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477.
