Ottawa weather forecast calls for continued rain, warmth

Tuesday and Wednesday will be hot, but Thursday should bring a return to more fall-like temperatures.

A high of 28 C is expected Tuesday, with the humidity making it feel more like 32. There will be a mix of sun and cloud in the sky with a 30 per cent chance of showers, risk of a thunderstorm, winds southwest at 20 km/h, and a high UV index of seven.

Overnight mainly cloudy skies are expected with a 40 per cent chance of showers in the evening and after midnight, with risk of a thunderstorm in the evening. Fog patches will develop before morning, and the low will reach about 17 C.

As for Wednesday, fog patches will dissipate in the morning, giving way to mainly cloudy skies with a 30 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon. The high will again reach 28 C, with a humidex of 34.

Cloudy periods and a low of 14 C are expected Wednesday night.

By Thursday, the high will reach 22 C. A high of 23 C is expected Friday to round out the week.
