Ottawa weather forecast calls for a gorgeous spring day

Wow. Do you feel that? It feels like spring, doesn't it? We have quite a day in store before we are washed away by a torrential downpour.

Monday's forecast calls for mainly sunny skies with some clouds rolling in during the afternoon and a high of 12 C.

The afternoon should also feature a southeast wind gusting from 20 to 40 kilometres per hour and a UV index of five (moderate).

A whole heap of rain should begin around midnight and we will likely wake up on Tuesday to anywhere from five to 10 millimetres of it.

The overnight low will reach 2 C with an east wind gusting from 20 to 40 km/h.

The rain will continue Tuesday with a large range of possibilities. We should get between 10 and 20 mm of rain with a southeast wind gusting from 20 to 40 km/h as the high hits 9 C.

The downpour should end Tuesday night with another low of 2 C before we see another nice spring day on Wednesday. A mix of sun and cloud and a high of 11 C are in the forecast.

We could get some more rain on Thursday, but hey, it's not snow, right?
