Ottawa weather forecast calls for more sweating and bad hair days

Ottawa weather forecast calls for continued rain, warmth

Storms cooled off the capital a bit on Monday night, but the humidity quickly returned and the heat is back to make us sweat today.

Tuesday's forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud with a northwest wind at 20 kilometres per hour in the afternoon.

The high is 29 C with the humidex at 36, plus a very high UV index of 9.

Overnight, a few clouds stick around with that northwest wind at 20 km/h as the low drops to 17 C.

Wednesday has a mix of sun and cloud, as well, with a 30 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon and a high of 30 C. The humidex should be at 34.

Wednesday night could also bring rain, again just a 30 per cent chance, as the low again hits 17 C.

This is not a joke, but the forecast for Thursday, Friday and Saturday are so far identical with a mix of sun and cloud and highs of 28 C.

It's a nice start to the long weekend as, at the moment, Sunday and Monday also feature a mix of sun and cloud and highs in the mid-to-high 20s.
