The sun is out and it should stay out (that's a good thing) for the weekend in the capital as the temperature slowly rises.
Friday's forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud with the clouds disappearing through the morning as the high reaches 1 C. Also, a UV index of three, or moderate, is here and we don't mind.
Tonight should bring a few more clouds as the low drops to –14 C.
Saturday should be another sunny day along with an east wind at 20 kilometres per hour in the morning. The high will reach about 2 C.
Saturday night looks cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of snow as the low hits –9 C.
Sunday also brings a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 7 C, and much of the snow will surely melt.
Monday could bring a little more snow or rain as the high hits 8 C, but then the temperature drops again during the middle of next week.
