Ottawa weather forecast calls for weekend rain, warm start to October

Ottawa weather forecast calls for continued rain, warmth

What would you say if October began on a high (temperature) note? Most wouldn't complain, right?

Well that's what we are getting in Ottawa-Gatineau, but before that, September ends today with mainly cloudy skies and a high of 17 C.

There will also be an east wind at 20 kilometres per hour late in the morning and a moderate UV index of 4.

Tonight should remain mainly cloudy with that east wind lightening late in the evening as the low hits 11 C.

Saturday, the beginning of October, should be cloudy with a high of 17 C.

Rain could begin overnight Saturday and continue into Sunday. The forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers on Sunday with a high of 19 C.

Next week starts a little rainy but the high should stay around 20 C until at least Thursday.
