Ottawa's Halloween weather forecast: we hope your costumes are warm

Ottawa weather forecast calls for wet Friday as rain replaces snow

There's a good chance costumes with sweaters and scarves will be in fashion tonight with a chilly trick-or-treating forecast in store for the Ottawa area.

Most of Halloween day will be a pretty un-spooky mix of sun and cloud with a high of 4 C. But as the tiny sliver of a new moon rises to signal candy time, the clouds will start to creep in and the temperature will drop to an overnight low of -3 C.

If you're out on foot Tuesday afternoon, you may be out in the warm November rain, with a 40 per cent chance of showers.

Tuesday night's forecasted low of 11 C is higher than Tuesday's daytime high of 10 C.

It's looking like a pleasant Wednesday with a mix of sun and clouds in store and a high of 13 C. There will also be a break from the rain, but it's back on the radar for Wednesday night and Thursday in the daytime.
