Ottawa weather forecast ends those chilly nights, for now

There was a little rain overnight and there's another chance of showers today, but the temperature is jumping back into the 20s in Ottawa-Gatineau.

Tuesday's forecast calls for sunshine in the morning before clouds roll in and bring a 40 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon. A south wind of 20 kilometres per hour could also hit in the afternoon.

The high should reach 20 C and the UV index will be moderate at 4.

Tonight, the sky should remain partly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers, plus a continuing south wind at 20 km/h. The low is 10 C, which is quite warm compared to the last few nights.

Wednesday should clear up a bit with an east wind at 20 km/h gusting to 40 in the morning. The high should also reach 21 C, so maybe you don't need a coat.

After Wednesday night reaches a low of just 11 C, Thursday brings a high of 18 C along with a mix of sun and cloud.

Friday — the last day of September — should be quite similar, but with a high of 16 C.
