Ozzy Osbourne hospitalised following ‘complications from the flu’

Ozzy Osborne has been rushed to hospital after cancelling his retirement tour.

The 70-year-old singer has been struggling with his health of late, causing him to cancel the UK and European legs of his ‘No More Tours 2‘ shows, and now his wife Sharon has revealed that he’s been hospitalised following “complications from flu”.

Sharing the news on Twitter, Sharon wrote: “As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following some complications from the flu.

“His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their concern and love.”

This comes after the singer announced last week that he’d postponed the European leg of his tour. Ozzy suffered a staph infection last year, which also caused him to postpone some performances in October.

“I’m completely devastated for having to postpone the European leg of my tour,” he said in a statement last month. “It just seems that since October, everything I touch has turned to shit. First, the staph infection in my thumb and now coming down with the flu and bronchitis.

“I want to apologize to all of my fans who have been so loyal over the years, my band, my crew and to [tourmates] Judas Priest for letting you all down. However, I promise the tour with Judas Priest will be completed. It’s being rescheduled right now to start in September. Again, I apologize to everyone. God Bless. Love you all, Ozzy.”

Last month, Sharon Osbourne announced that she’s turning her life into a Hollywood biopic, explaining that it will be about her personal story up until she met Ozzy.
