“I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans. I’d rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time.”

Refunds, including fees, are available at the original point of purchase. Those who bought tickets to No More Tours 2 are promised first access to tickets when Osbourne’s next tour is announced.

The tour had been due to start in Atlanta on May 27 with 26 concerts scheduled throughout June and July. Those have all been cancelled.

The former Black Sabbath frontman is now due to begin the tour in the UK on October 23 2020.

Osbourne had already rescheduled the tour, which was originally due to take place in 2019.

After being plagued by health problems he revealed in an emotional interview to Good Morning America, where he was joined by his wife Sharon, that he had been diagnosed with degenerative disease Parkinson’s, which affects the nervous system and can cause depression.

Osbourne said: "I had to have surgery on my neck which screwed all my nerves in. I've got numbness down this arm from the surgery. My legs feel going cold, I don't know if that's Parkinson's or what... It's a weird feeling."
