P.E.I. student enrolment down for English Language School Board
Enrolment numbers released Tuesday by the P.E.I. government are down for the English Language School Board.
The number of students is down 271 over the last school year.
The decline is not consistent across all grade levels as some have seen increases.
Some of the more significant changes in enrolment are at the Grade 5 and Grade 7 levels.
In Grade 5, student enrolment is down by 180 students. But, Grade 7 enrolment has increased by 123.
The P.E.I. government says there is a delay in the official numbers for the French board. Preliminary information indicated a student enrolment increase of 30 students.
