P.A. police lay charges over rash of church break-ins

Cab-jackers nabbed after drving by police station

Police in Prince Albert have laid charges in relation to a string of break-ins at a number of churches in January.

The break-ins, at churches in the Riverview and Crescent Acres neighbourhoods, were reported to police on Jan. 21.

A 42-year-old man is facing three counts of break and enter.

According to police, the accused man was in the community on parole at the time of the alleged offences. He was also the subject of an arrest warrant for allegedly violating the terms of his release. Police noted the suspect is in custody and a court date on the charges had not yet been set.
