Pacific Palisades devastation from California fires looks like war zone in these raw videos

Cover Media video posted Jan. 9, 2024 shows raw footage of the destruction of multiple buildings in Pacific Palisades after California wildfires spread across the Los Angeles area this week.

The footage was shared via VideoElephant, which provides video content for the Sacramento Bee.

The destructive wildfires, as of Thursday morning, have burned more than 27,000 acres, destroyed up to 2,000 structures, many of them homes, and killed five people. Firefighters are facing fierce hurricane-force winds while desperately trying to contain the inferno.

The Palisades fire has covered 17,234 acres with zero containment, according to CalFire. The Eaton fire has charred 10,600 acres.
