“I wish everyone my love and thanks while I navigate this new exciting chapter,” added Anderson.

In her note, the former Baywatch star also thanked the film’s production company, Roadside Attractions and fellow nominee Miley Cyrus, who is up for best original song. Cyrus cowrote “Beautiful That Way,” from The Last Showgirl’s soundtrack, with Andrew Wyat and Lykke Zachrisson.

Anderson, who was previously nominated for a Gotham Award for outstanding lead performance in a film, is in a Golden Globes category that includes four Oscar winners: Angelina Jolie (Maria), Nicole Kidman (Babygirl), Tilda Swinton (The Room Next Door), Kate Winslet (Lee). Fernanda Torres (I’m Still Here) rounds out the category.

In The Last Showgirl, Anderson plays Shelly, a soft-spoken Las Vegas dancer who is at a crossroads when the hotel that hosts her long-running show announces it will end after decades.
