Parents are using the Pedro Pascal snacking meme to reveal what their babies are ‘made out of’
A new Pedro Pascal meme has taken over TikTok (in addition to the Nicolas Cage driving one), and moms are using it in the most hilarious way.
The trend, which involves using a CapCut template of the actor eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the foreground, is being placed over an image or video of a mom’s sweet little baby.
As melancholy music plays in the background, the video text marvels at how healthy and perfect the little one turned out, despite their mom’s less-than-perfect pregnancy diet.
“Me watching the baby I made out of coca-cola, sour patch kids, and grilled cheese grow,” one TikTok reads.
“me watching the baby i made out of Dr Pepper, Taco Bell & spaghetti grow up to be such a smart one year old,” says another.
The original image of Pascal comes from a video he shot with Jon Favreau, in which the two actors compare American and Chilean snack foods. And while it’s currently being used in a variety of ways on TikTok, the “baby I made out of” memes are definitely some of the best ones.
Most reveal mom’s guilty pleasure snacks during pregnancy, which range from fast food to candy to endless bowls of cereal.
Others highlight the daily habits they just couldn’t kick during those nine long months — like their Starbucks addiction.
But while most moms have used the meme to joke about what they did eat during pregnancy, at least one joked about what she didn’t eat, likely due to morning sickness and food aversions.
“Me admiring the baby I made with Zofran and Air,” wrote @idyllic_madison in one TikTok.
Zofran, an anti-nausea medication, is commonly prescribed for people with extreme morning sickness. While most cases will resolve themselves by the end of the first trimester, some women experience nausea and vomiting for even longer, and believe it or not, a small percentage will be plagued with it until they give birth.
“Most accurate one yet,” one commenter said of the meme.
