Paris Hilton poses with son Phoenix by the Christmas tree

Paris Hilton is easing into motherhood.

On the third episode of season 2 of Paris in Love, the DJ and heiress, 42, admits that she has yet to change one of her son Phoenix's diapers. "Should I learn how to change his diaper?" Paris asks sister Nicky Hilton.

"I said I wouldn't do this on my birthday, but I will for you," Paris tells her then-newborn son. "Anything for Phoenix."

"Okay, I'm scared," the new mom says as she sets her baby down on a changing table. "You've never done it?" Nicky asks, to which Paris says no.

The mom of two then gets a lesson from her sister, 40, and her nanny on how to locate the "front [and] the back" of the diaper, as well as how to make sure that it isn't too tight.

Noting that Paris wasn't ever one to talk about having a baby, Nicky adds that her sister needs to learn how to do the parts of motherhood that aren't always pretty. "Motherhood, you've got to get your hands a little bit dirty," Nicky says in a confessional.

Paris shares her son Phoenix, now 10 months, and newborn daughter London with husband Carter Reum.

In the premiere episode of season 2 of Paris in Love, Paris explained how and why she came to the decision to use a surrogate to welcome her son.

"Surrogacy was a difficult decision to make," she admitted.

"I would have loved that experience of growing the baby in your tummy and feeling the kicks and all of those exciting moments, but my life has just been so public," she continued. "So even though the baby is biologically mine and Carter's, we decided to have a surrogate carry him."

Reum echoed those concerns for Paris and their son in a later confessional where he talked about the vision for their family's future.

"Now having a family with Paris, we want our family to grow up and be normal and not always be known as Paris Hilton's children," he said.

"We have to think about safety," Reum continued. "When we go to the farmer's market, it's one thing if someone stops and asks Paris for a photo. It's a whole other thing with the baby in tow in a stroller."

"I don't think we know everything the journey's gonna throw at us, but we're just gonna tackle it as we go," he concluded.
