Part of state Route 45 in Centre County closed early Monday morning after crash
Part of State Route 45 in Potter Township was closed for several hours early Monday morning after a crash.
At about 4 a.m., a vehicle hit a pole, ejecting one of the occupants, the Boalsburg Fire Company posted on Facebook. The crash led to low-hanging wires across the roadway, which is also called Earlystown Road.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, both directions of Route 45 were closed between Hoot Road and Old Fort Road/Pennsylvania Avenue. At about 8:30 a.m., PennDOT updated that a lane restriction was in place.
By 10 a.m., all lanes were back open.
At least one person was flown from the scene by medical helicopter, Boalsburg Fire Company posted.
While the closure was in place, fire police were on scene and traffic was detoured via Wagner Road to Tusseyville Road, Centre County 911 posted. Motorists were urged to use caution in the area and adjust travels accordingly.
