PC MLA James Aylward asks speaker to rein in lengthy Liberal answers

P.E.I.'s official opposition says long-winded answers from the governing Liberals during question period are cutting into the opposition's time to ask questions of the government.

PC MLA James Aylward raised a point of order in the house Friday about the issue and asked Speaker of the House Buck Watts to do something about it.

"[The] opposition is asking you to reign in the length of responses that the ministers are replying with," Aylward said to Watts.

Watts replied the issue was under consideration and he would speak to it this coming week.
