A pedestrian dies after a hit-and-run Saturday on Kansas City, Kansas, bridge

A pedestrian was killed Saturday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on the 65th Street bridge above Interstate 70 in Kansas City, Kansas.

KCK police were called around 12:40 p.m. to the 300 block of North 65th Street after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle headed south while crossing the bridge, moving from the northbound to the southbound lanes.

The vehicle fled the scene, and the pedestrian was transported to a hospital, where she died of her injuries.

The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department Traffic Division continues to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
