Police watchdog probes 3rd death in which Peel officers administered naloxone

Peel Regional Police have identified the body of a woman found in Brampton on Friday as Kara Clark, 28, who had been missing since Tuesday.

In a news release, police said Clark was last seen on Tuesday at 1 a.m. leaving a residence in the area of Castlemore Road and Humberwest Parkway in Brampton.

A passerby saw her body in a greenbelt area west of the intersection on Friday and called police at about 2:35 p.m.

Const. Mark Fischer, spokesperson for Peel Regional Police, said Saturday that her death is considered suspicious.

Peel police's homicide detectives and its missing persons bureau have taken the lead on the investigation, he said.

Castlemore Road, from westbound Humberwest Parkway to eastbound Airport Road, continues to be closed as officers investigate.

The area is northwest of Toronto Pearson International Airport and close to the edge of the Claireville Conservation Area.
