The Horry County Police Department is investigating a possible homicide in Conway on New Year’s Eve. The incident involved a shooting.

Horry County police are investigating a New Year’s Eve death as a homicide, and a person has been charged related to the death.

The Horry County Coroner’s Office announced on Jan. 1, 2025, that 28-year-old Keenan Blumenschein had died on New Year’s Eve after a shooting at his home off Hayloft Circle near Conway, South Carolina.

A spokesperson for the Horry County Police Department told The Sun News that Kimberly Maggert is charged with murder in Blumenschein’s death.
