Person seriously injured after a shooting at a Macon gas station, deputies say

A 40-year-old man was in critical but stable condition after a shooting in Macon Saturday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies received a 911 call around 1:16 a.m. regarding “a person down,” at Exxon gas station at 36 Spring St., a news release from the sheriff’s office said. When deputies arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Paramedics arrived on scene and took the man to a medical facility, the release said. No one else was injured.
