A man in his 70s has been charged with sexual assault after he allegedly touched a personal support worker inappropriately while she was working, according to Windsor police.

The personal support worker, in her 30s, was at the man's home when she was allegedly sexually assaulted.

Windsor police said in a news release they started the investigation on July 16.

The man has been released after being charged, "on a promise to appear with a future court date," police report.

Windsor police remind people certain sexual assault causes can be reported online.

"Sexual assault is one of the most personal, invasive and traumatic crimes a victim can suffer," police said in a news release.
