On March 11, 2011, a massive earthquake off the coast of Japan triggered a tsunami that brought devastation to some of the country’s coastal regions. The destruction caused the Fukushima nuclear plant to have three meltdowns and spill radioactive material into the surrounding area.
Some towns near the plant have not been seen by the public since.
That is until Keow Wee Loong reportedly decided to risk arrest and venture into the Fukushima exclusion zone with a camera. The pictures reveal a cityscape wrought by disaster and long abandoned.
