PHOTOS: Justin Trudeau joins new world leaders at G7 Summit in Italy

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is getting to know some unfamiliar faces as he represents Canada at the G7 Summit in Sicily.

After a whirlwind year in politics around the globe, four new leaders are in attendance, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, British Prime Minister Theresa May and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Free trade and climate change are said to be big topics on the agenda during the high-profile meetings, which also include Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

This year, the annual meeting is taking place in Taormina, Italy, a city that sits on the eastern coast of the southern island. All photos above were taken on May 26 in Sicily.
