Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto and U.S. President Barack Obama met Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the North American Leaders’ Summit in Ottawa Wednesday. The meeting, colloquially known as the Three Amigos Summit, is expected to focus on clean energy and climate change.

The Mexican president, who has been visiting since Monday, is to sign onto a Canada-U.S. pledge to cut methane gas 40-45 per cent by 2025.

The trio are expected to hold a joint news conference upon the conclusion of the summit Wednesday afternoon. Obama will then hold a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister and address parliament.
