PHOTOS: Who will be the next leader of the Conservative party?

The Conservative Party of Canada will try to pick a new leader on May 27 in Toronto and it’s not yet clear who will emerge victorious.

There are 13 candidates for the permanent post, which was last held by former prime minister Stephen Harper before outgoing Alberta MP Rona Ambrose stepped to lead the party during the transition to a new leader. All of the candidates claim to have the secret recipe necessary to defeat Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the ruling Liberals, but no real frontrunner has surfaced.

From veteran politicians to savvy businessmen, the crowded group of contenders will be narrowed down to one person on Saturday, and that leader will likely change the face of the Conservative party for years to come.
