A strong storm system that struck B.C. on Sunday left thousands of people without power amid numerous damage reports.

At the storm's peak, B.C. Hydro said some 90,000 customers were without power across the province, with around 57,000 of those scattered across the Lower Mainland.

B.C. Ferries were also forced to suspend their afternoon crossings between the mainland and Vancouver Island amid the winds, which were gusting in the 70-90 km/h range at the storm's peak.

Numerous trees have been reported down across the province, along with damage to homes and vehicles.

Below is a selection of some of the storm's impacts on social media.
