Ariel Castro undergoes competency evaluation
Suspect accused of holding women captive for a decade

Ariel Castro agreed on July 26 to plead guilty to kidnapping and raping three women he held captive in his home for about a decade in Cleveland. He will avoid the death penalty, but will be sentenced to life in prison without parole plus 1,000 years.
Castro, 53, had been scheduled for trial Aug. 5 on a 977-count indictment.
