Dimple Kapadia brings a sort of natural sensuousness to every frame she has ever been in. That’s something both her daughters Twinkle and Rinkie could never manage. Although they didn’t last very long in the industry, they’ve gone on to become self-made women. Twinkle debuted with the film Barsaat opposite Bobby Deol in 1995, and called it quits after she married Akshay Kumar in 2001. She’s now an interior designer, author, columnist and producer. Rinke had an even short-lived career, debuting with Pyar Mein Kabhi Kabhi in 1999. Her only other notable film was Jhankaar Beats in 2003. Kareena Kapoor-Khan and Karisma Kapoor, daughters of Babita (in center), Bollywood’s yesteryear beauty couldn’t have asked for more- they’ve got the looks, the talent and the spirit that takes them from mere star kids to individuals in their own right. Babita, in her short-lived career starred in 19 films including blockbuster hits like Kal Aaj Aur Kal, Haseena Maan Jayegi and Kismat. Karisma had a sober debut release in 1991 in Prem Qaidi but what brought her to fame was Raja Hindustani opposite Aamir Khan in 1996. Incidentally she also starred in a film called Haseena Maan Jayegi along with Govinda, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Batra. She finally said goodbye to films in 2012 and is now an entrepreneur!
