Chronology of Northern Gateway pipeline saga

After years of debate, protests and legal obstacles, a federal review panel has offered conditional approval for the Northern Gateway project. The pipeline is planned to run from Bruderheim, Alberta, to Kitimat, B.C., but will run through some of B.C. most untouched backcountry and near First Nations lands, which has many worried about the inherent risks if the pipeline were to leak.
