Simple and surprising ways to reduce your water footprint

Everyone's been told that they should take shorter showers and make sure their taps aren't allowed to run. But as we've learned, a large portion of your 'water footprint' comes from places you wouldn't normally expect. Most everyday products and foods require a large amount of water to produce, and by substituting several of them for more efficient alternatives, you can do your part to help address the Earth's burgeoning water crisis.
