On the eve of the Olympics opening ceremony in her hometown, Kate Middleton looked pretty impressive at the ping pong table when she, husband Prince William, and brother-in-law Prince Harry visited Bacon's College in London. The three were there to help launch the Coach Core program, a joint initiative between their Royal Foundation and Greenhouse to inspire coaches to become mentors to underprivileged teens. Being a famous Brit when London is hosting the Summer Olympics sure does have its perks. On Wednesday, "Harry Potter' actor Rupert Grint became one of the final torchbearers on as the Olympic torch neared the end of its round-the-world travels. No, Katharine McPhee doesn't just walk around Manhattan showing off her dance moves. The 28-year-old was actually shooting a scene on Tuesday for the upcoming season of the NBC series "Smash," in which she plays a Broadway actress. "Shooting in Times Square...were not drawing too much attention to ourselves at all!" McPhee tweeted from the set along with a pic of the crew and some serious camera equipment. (7/24/2012)

Proving he's as happy as ever now that he's leaving his judging gig on "American Idol," Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler was all smiles as he flashed a peace sign with one hand and held his adorable pup with the other in New York City on Tuesday. He's not the only one exiting the reality show. While Mariah Carey will be replacing Tyler's former fellow judge, Jennifer Lopez, there's no word yet on who will be filling Steven's shoes yet.
