Wildfires rage in British Columbia

As of Saturday, 45 wildfires were burning across British Columbia. With a heat wave bringing record-high temperatures to the province, the forest-fire situation could only get worse. (CP)

By Tuesday, evacuation orders were issued for Entiako Provincial Park, Tetachuck Lake and Chelaslie River as a wildfire in Chelaslie Arm grows to 8,000 hectares in B.C.'s northwest region, and by late Wednesday, several communities in northeastern B.C. were ordere to evacuate, including the entire population of Hudson's Hope, comprising more than 1000 people.
