At least 22 people were killed and 59 were injured in a suspected suicide bomb attack at Manchester Arena.

The blast happened in the foyer of the venue at about 10.35pm on Monday at the end of a concert by US singer Ariana Grande.

Police said a lone attacker, who died in the explosion, detonated an improvised explosive device.

The wounded are being treated at eight hospitals around the city, while people in Manchester opened up their homes overnight to those caught up in the tragedy.
